I'm going to take the time to celebrate and enjoy my blessings. I'm not dwelling on any of the awards from the past year, but I hope to build upon the recognition, however temporary. Mariam Mark,

And the award even came with a cash stipend that helped me pay for my last year in grad school. But what has that award given me now? Oh, sure, I am meeting a lot of great people - you included - but a guy needs to feed his family with something and I don't think the paper in which the award was printed on would get much on E-Bay right now. Satisfying because you can see the fruits of your hard work.
