The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug. – Mark Twain
If written communication is key to your success, good writing is vital. Thorough editing is part of good writing. Improper grammar will make you – the person behind your great ideas – appear unintelligent and will make your ideas less appealing. Your message can be lost easily, and this is just as true in business as it is in academia.
If you’re a student, it’s not just about grammar. “Writing is rewriting.” The revisions to a first draft could be major or minor. Either way, if there’s a more concise or effective way to get your point across on paper, Research Works can help you find it. See what others have said about our services, and when you’re ready, contact us.
Documents we edit:
- Any of the documents listed on the writing services page, plus book manuscripts, CDPs, thesis papers, dissertations and other academic papers.
Note to students:
Ethics are just as important to Research Works as they are to your educational institution. That’s why at some point, school officials may have asked you to sign an honor code pledging that you won’t cheat or plagiarize someone else’s work. That’s also why Research Works will not, under any circumstances, be your ghostwriter or your ghost researcher. Your success in school should be your own, but you may need a little help getting to the level of success you’re capable of.
To that end, Research Works offers one-on-one writing consultations for when you’ve stared at a blank computer screen until drops of blood formed on your forehead. Also, we can sit down with you for one-on-one grammar lessons, or you can attend periodic writing and grammar workshops. Additionally, Research Works sees no ethical dilemma or violations in professionally proofreading your written work or helping you to revise it, unless the work is for an ESL class and you are not permitted to have a native English speaker proofread the work.
